Nokia c3 Game guitar hero worldtour

There are some mobile games out there that win a lot of points based on their sheer determination to exist. Not least among them are the Guitar Hero adaptations, which, in principle, couldn’t be worse suited to the mobile platform if they tried.

Yet through a sheer willingness to continue its domination of youth culture, Guitar Hero World Tour Mobile has stepped out onto the mobile stage with a head full of music, a hand full of hot guitar and a steely gaze full of defiance.

You’ve got to love it for its rebellious attitude alone.

Nokia c3 game Chocolate Shop Frenzy

You would have thought that the advent of the credit crunch would have cut our spending on confectionery right down, wouldn't you? Surely, working in a chocolate boutique or candy store right now would be pretty easy work - employees piling on the pounds as they snack on all the treats left on the un-bought treats.

Whether that's the case or not I've no idea, but its clear the boys and girls at Sumea believe there's life in the house that cocoa built yet, with Chocolate Shop Frenzy delivering exactly what its title suggests: a chocolate store awash with customers, each demanding their own box of milky heaven. Your average American coffee house has nothing on this - Frenzy will teach you just how to cope with the whim of every customer that storms through your door.

As with games such as Diner Dash and Cake Mania, Chocolate Shop Frenzy is all about quickly serving customers, sorting and delivering a rash of different orders as impatient folk stand and stare. As customers appear at your counter, it's up to you to take their orders, pick up their chocolates, wrap them (if they so please) and deliver them back to the counter before they get fed up and leave. It's a standard concept, but Frenzy is the kind of game that constantly puts hurdles in your path just to complicate issues a little.
For instance, beyond the opening rounds it's very rare that you'll ever deal with just one customer at a time. Instead, people tend to come in packs of four, with orders also turning up via phone just to add to your workload. While you might think that a 'first come, first serve' mantra would serve you well, any sense of routine is tossed out the window as soon as different kinds of customers begin to turn up at your store; old grannies are perfectly happy to wait a little longer than your average customer, as opposed to businessmen, who quickly get impatient while yabbering away on their mobile phones.

Nokia c3 game Diamond Twister 2

A real gem?

As is the norm, there are also power-ups in play – some triggered by matches of four or more, others liberally tossed into play by the game itself. When activated, everything from whole lines being cleared to the clock being stopped for a vital few seconds is on offer.

Unlike Bejeweled, there are also a few extra moves you can employ, such as sliding gems left or right by four squares, or rotating them around a fixed point.

Combined with the snippets of plot that sandwich the levels (snippets that seem to focus on getting into parties, unlocked by earning VIP points in play), there's an attempt here to set Diamond Twist 2 apart from its obvious inspiration.

But, in truth, Diamond Twist 2 – LA scoops or not – remains a solid, but arguably too faithful, Bejeweled clone, in a world where Bejeweled clones are already anything but as rare as the gems that inhabit them.

Nokia c3 Game Crash Bandicoot Mutant Island

Mobile gamers will be interested to know that Crash is returning with another 2D side-scroller, Mutant Island. The game is being developed by Glu Mobile and it doesn’t look that different from the mobile version of Crash of the Titans. Mutant Island appears to be the latest in the line of mobile 2D Crash sidescrollers. Crash will retain his ability to control large mutants and harness their powers to progress. Platforming will be present and Crash will venture through different worlds, some of which can be seen in the screenshots above (a castle, a dungeon and a big ol’ tree, respectively). And the rest is speculation.

Nokia c3 Game The Guitar Hero III

The Guitar Hero III Mobile is a chartbuster in the gaming scenario in the US. Hands-On Mobile, Inc. announced that the mobile game was a bestseller in the US on Verizon Wireless’ mobiles in the first quarter of 2008.

A record of 1 million downloads including monthly subscriptions has been reported across all wireless service providers although initially the mobile was exclusively launched on Verizon Wireless’ phones. Guitar Hero III Mobile has been reported to be one of the highest and fastest selling games.

“Verizon Wireless customers have shown a tremendous appetite for mobile games – the category is an important part of our strategy to increase data revenue, and marquee titles such as Guitar Hero III help create demand and engage our customers in mobile gameplay,” said Ryan Hughes, vice president of digital media programming for Verizon.

An amazing 2,50,000 songs are played everyday by the game subscribers and the most popular songs happen to be ‘Slow Ride’ (re-record), ‘Mississippi Queen’ (re-record) and ‘Black Magic Woman’ (re-record).

“Fans of the Guitar Hero console games have been very impressed with the title’s translation onto BREW handsets,” said David White, chief executive officer of Hands-On Mobile. “Guitar Hero III Mobile has opened the eyes of a whole new group of consumers to the world of mobile games.”

Nokia c3 Game Tom and Jerry Pinball Pursuit

It's open to question whether Tom and Jerry still attracts actual kids, or if it's rather a brand for adults remembering how ace cartoons were when they were children. There's a fine line there, and one that's important in influencing what kind of mobile games are released based on the duelling critters.

Publisher Glu has tended to take the first option with its previous Tom and Jerry games, pitching them as easy, accessible games that children will love. On one level it's a logical decision, but it's also one that rules out the possibility of a truly authentic (by which we mean violent) action-adventure featuring anvils, fire, giant mallets and so on. The original cartoons aren't that far removed from Itchy & Scratchy, y'know.

Anyway, Tom and Jerry Pinball Pursuit isn't that murderous game. As you may have guessed, it's a pinball game, with said cat and mouse shoehorned into the gameplay. Jerry comes off worse: he's the ball. We're not sure how Tom swung that one.

The action takes place on three colourful pinball tables, each based on a different room of Tom and Jerry's house. The Kitchen table is replete with fried eggs, bacon and cheese, for example, while the Dining Room table is all about the bagels and coffee. Meanwhile, the Garden table has plants, flowers and general greenery as the backdrop.
